Based on HEP spring contact technology, the connectors are billed as the industry's first UL-rated, J1772 Level II 75A four-hour-or-less full charging connectors.
The CIR-M12 connector enables Ethernet, MVB, WTB and video data to be transmitted between cars in mass transit systems.
Originally designed to meet the automotive DIN 72585 (now ISO 15170) specification, the connectors are now sanctioned for use in wheeled, armored vehicle applications where military qualifications are not required.
